Anita and Joan in town
So during the last week of September, Jason's Mom and her friend Joan made the long trip over to London from Colorado. We had 9 action-packed days together, visting many great sites in London and taking a few fun site-seeing adventures! I really think that they enjoyed the trip a lot; almost as much as Annelies and I enjoyed seeing them!On Friday evening we went to see the musical Chicago; it was a nice experience to see live and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Then on Saturday we headed over to the famous Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill; they have everything from antiques to fruits and vegitables to cheeses to costumes to just plain crap! Quite a great experience!

After a hearty morning of shopping, we went over to Harrods to experience high tea in The Georgian restaurant. The British sure know how to do their tea! Lots of little sandwiches (they cut off the crust!), pastries, crumpets & clotted cream, and of course a nice pot of fresh tea. On Sunday we took a site-seeing trip around central London, watching the changing of the guard, checking out Big Ben, and walking around admiring the sites.
On Monday both Annelies and I took the day off and we all boarded an early tour bus for a trip to Stonehenge and the city of Bath. This was definitely something else! Stonehenge is certainly flush with history and mystery (and kindly they give everyone their own personal audio guide, so you can admire Stonehenge without hearing loud tour guides bark out the history in many languages...). Bath is a beautiful English town which takes its history as the site of some 2000 year old Roman baths, from the days that London was called Londinium and Cesar's empire stretched all over Europe. D
uring the rest of the week, Mom and Joan took a nice excursion to the English town of Bristol and spent a night in Wales. We sadly took them to the Underground station on Saturday and are waiting to see their pictures in a few weeks when we're back in Colorado! So since our guests have returned home, we have been busy with work and getting ready for our big trip to the States. I was in Paris for a few days last week visiting with our agency and the French search engines. This week Annelies is in Geneva and Prague for a number of meetings and work events.
On Saturday I'm heading out to Los Angeles for a week of work. Annelies joins me on Wednesday evening and then we'll head over to Justin Remeny's wedding on Saturday the 21st.

Finally it's off to Colorado to visit Jason's family for a week! We heard great news last week because Grandpa Bernie and Grandma Andi are going to be in Colorado at the same time. Woooo hoooo!!!
We hope everyone is healthy and happy and wish you all the best! Love,
-Jason & Annelies
